Job Description
>
> Project Control Officer is assigned to work with the
> Delivery Manager and is responsible for supporting project
> activities. This position requires knowledge of project
> management tools and methodology. The PCO will have
> demonstrated skills in relationship building with excellent
> interpersonal and communications skills.
>
> Responsibilities
>
> The PCO will work on the assigned project assuming the
> responsibilities of:
>
> (a) Applying all project management standards and
> templates to support the PM in project schedule management,
> project risk, issues, action and change management;
> dashboard reporting; vendor management and budget
> management, including project financial forecasting
>
> (b) Maintain the project and contract files; this pertains to project
> documentation, status reports, third party contracts and
> other correspondence
>
> (c) Maintain the budget; this includes auditing items
> to be delivered under projects, reviewing monthly time entry
> reports for anomalies; ensure all invoices have been
> approved and processed for payment, reconciliation of the
> project budget and completing investigations for differences
> as they occur
>
> (d) Ongoing communication of project status, completing
> the month Project Status Report and escalating issues to the
> PM as required
>
> (e) Reporting and maintaining project risks, issues,
> action and change management report; working with key
> stakeholders in collecting data and reporting resolution
>
> Skills
>
> · Strong MS Excel skills required to manage,
> track and report on project budget
>
> · Has experience as a PCO in the financial
> sector
>
> · Experience in MS-Project
>
> · Strong understanding of Project Methodology,
> processes and tools, preferably in IT
>
> · Disciplined approach to accountabilities;
> having a sense of urgency
>
> · Solid problem solving and analytical skills
>
> · Excellent written and verbal communications
> skills

> · Basic Accounting
